Today was a very sad time for me and my family. Our little cat Shelby was diagnosed with viral leukemia 2 weeks ago and she grew progressively worse until today we had to have her put to sleep. Apparently she was born with this disease and the doctor said that cats with this disease live to be around 6-8 years old. She was 6. It is hard to see an animal suffer and proverbs 12:10 says a righteous man regards the life of his beast; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. We showed our love by letting her go. It saddens me to see my daughter cry but I know with time it will pass and we will move on. We always do because we are more than conquerors in Christ. He is the comforter! He binds up the wounds and heals the broken in heart! (Psalm 147:3) Thank you Jesus for the time we had with Shelby!
