Today was a very special day for me and Ronnie. We went to the Naval Aviation Museum to visit. No one is normally allowed to go to the flight line and stop to take a picture of themselves in front of the planes. After I explained how many years I flew in the P-3c Orion and that my wife was also retired from the Navy. They approved a representative to personally drive the both of us to the flight line in a golf cart. It was an emotional and very fulfilling experience for me and Ronnie. I will probably will never get to be around another Orion the rest of my life. I got to pat the Nose Raydome for the last time in my life. Thank you Lord for this day. That airplane took good care of me for over 20 years. My wife ordered parts for the same planes I flew in. I am thankful to the people in charge of the museum. They understand what it means to take care of an old Aircrewman, and they made me and my wife very happy:) God Bless America!
