Today was a wonderfully regular day! The little soldiers real personality (that funny, teasing, goofy, silly side of him weve been missing) has been making a comeback over the last couple of weeks and it feels so good to have that part of Trajen stick around for a while! When hes happy, were happy and it just helps us all feel a little closer to normal and a lot more upbeat when hes giggling and coming up with crazy schemes like wanting to become a fire blower someday. Trajen: How did that guy in Aladdin blow fire out of his mouth? Me: He blew a fuel, like gas onto the fire to make it bigger. Trajen: Gas, like the gas we put in our car? I want to do that someday! Me: It can cause cancer. Trajen: I already have cancer. It can cause more cancer? Not going to happen! The little man was disappointed that his brother and sisters had to go back to school and almost had me convinced to keep them home one more day. Almost. Ha! He asked about every two hours when theyd be back after they left! The little soldiers ANC (absolute neutrophil count) had dropped significantly at his appointment yesterday, which means his defenses were even lower than usual, so we spent the entire day at home. Being home today alerted me to the fact that the little man has graduated from merely playing with his LEGO people to actually building with the LEGO bricks. Most of the day we had LEGOS spread over the entire family room and it was heavenly! It was a great day and I feel like we won the lottery this week by getting to spend it here with the family. Were truly blessed!
