Today was an awesome day at Petco! We had so many of our great dogs there and so many people there to see them. We finalized a few adoptions (Scout and Jasper), sent a few dogs home with pre-approved prospective adopters, and received a record number of applications! Two of the dogs I want to highlight who are still looking for their furever family, and have been to many of these adoption events even though it is very much outside of their comfort zone to be with that many people....are Jax and Butterscotch. Both of these dogs came from severely undersocialized situations (Jax was a stray dog from birth and Butterscotch lived in a dog hoarding situation) and they both have come so far. Both of these dogs are ready for their furever families, but it will take a very special family to be right for them. Neither Jax nor Butterscotch are aggressive, and both love other dogs, but both are just timid around people and take some time to warm up and get comfortable. I want to thank all of the foster families who took time out of their day to bring their foster dogs out to help them find their furever families...and of course all the people who showed up to meet them. Great day!!
