Today was equal parts horrible and comforting. I received a call - TopicsExpress

Today was equal parts horrible and comforting. I received a call when I was teaching at another farm that our old girl Cathy was suddenly and severely ill. Cathy has been a part of the lesson program since I started Bramblewood and she has bounced back from some tough injuries, but today I knew as soon as I saw her that she had reached her end. Whether it was a tumor or an aneurism, she declined suddenly and we, with the help of Dr. Woodaman, were able to address her distress immediately and give her a noble end, surrounded by all of the barn family that loved her. From there, we traveled to Seneca to watch Eliza come into her own and move around the fair grounds like an old school horse. The circle continues and were all bolstered by the love of our community. I wouldnt be who I am without all of you, two and four footed. Thank you and much, much love. Well lay Cathy to rest tomorrow and keep riding on.
