Today was full of contrasts. On the one hand, we we were treated to a festival of fresh ideas and quality Budget Vote speeches by Economic Development & Social Development MECs. On the other hand, one was saddened by other Budget Vote speeches which struggled to give expression to the innovative game changing vision for Gauteng as outlined in the Premiers Opening Address. Then I had the occasion to listen to the EFF CIC addressing EFF members who were gathered near the entrance to the Chamber where Legislature business was conducted. He told EFF members to conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner, while protesting their exclusion from the Sitting. I was pleased to hear this for I loathe anarchy. When I left the Legislature after 7pm, I was disappointed to see the filth on the corridors where EFF had gathered earlier and when I stepped outside the building, it was as if one was in a war zone. #The good,the bad and the ugly.
