Today was great! I had one funeral this morning and then drove and walked around the cemetery for at least an hour. Yes, it was 40-something degrees out there. I found Matthew Alexander Hensons marker. He was the first man to the North Pole. I ran by Fort Myer and found Blackjacks grave. He was the first caparisoned (riderless) horse who was a part of over 1,000 military funerals (including John F. Kennedys) on Arlington and only 1 of 2 horses buried with full military honors. Sergeant York has taken Blackjacks place now. I posted a picture of him last week.
