Today was my best October migration day. I had twelve species of sparrows in Howard County. When I first started birding over 30 years ago many of these species were common. Now I struggle all year to see some of them so each one is extra special. Quite a few sparrows spend the winter and some are just arriving. Fox, American Tree, Swamp and of course White-throat and Junco. Grasshoppers should be gone...this one was a notable sighting. https://flic.kr/p/oWxtLc
