Today was my first day in my new office. I work at a community - TopicsExpress

Today was my first day in my new office. I work at a community college and apparently there is no shared faculty kitchen. So I am on the hunt for a coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave as I am trying to pack my lunch each day. But I dont want to spend too much money as the whole point of packing lunch is to save money by not buying food. I was thinking about how difficult it would be to find these appliances at a low price ($10 or less). I stopped by the Habitat for Humanity restore and they had a few coffee makers all priced between $15-20. Too much. I left and decided to stop by a smaller, NGO thrift store near my home. The FIRST thing I saw, on the top of the shelf, was a coffeemaker. Priced $10. BUT, 75% off blue tags this week. AND this coffee maker was blue tag!!! Lucky me! A new coffee maker for just $2.50. After that, I picked up a bit more for my office, including a wood 5 divider storage thingy (Im teaching 5 classes so I thought I could use each tab for paperwork for each class, etc.) and this super awesome lime and white burlap chevron print pillow case for 50 cents. SO, moral of the story, when in doubt, check a thrift store!!!
