Today was my first show and it was terrible. The event was extremely under advertised to the point where less then 75 people showed up. Of those people, 5 talked to me. Of those 5 people 3 took my card and 1 tried something on. I didnt make a single sale. Of the 25 tables there were 4 other jewelry vendors there, none of which were handmade. 3 of those vendors came over to brag to me about their sales. I am so discouraged that Im actually debating canceling my other shows for the holidays. Does this happen often or did I really just pick a terrible show? I even donated to the raffle! My name was drawn for it, go figure, so they redrew it and it went to another vendor who didnt say anything to me. Everyone else was thanking people for the fun raffle items. Makes me wonder where mine will end up. Blah. I guess on the plus side between me and my boyfriend we won two raffle items. An Oragami Owl key charm and some amazing smelling soap from Mary Kay.
