Today was my last day in Slovakia. Many visitors came to the Sunday morning service, including one woman whose knee was healed last night (more about her in a moment). I preached about producing and sustaining breakthrough. In summary: (1) When youre reasoning about what is possible, factor God into the equation. Base your expectations on His presence. (2) Be creative, and dont be afraid to do something that no one else has done before. (3) Do not wait for God to produce the breakthrough before you act. If He wanted to do it without you, then He wouldnt have created you! So partner with God, trusting that He is always with you and ready to work with you. (4) Do something! Faith without works is dead. So if you feel like your faith is dead, do something that requires faith. It will come alive. (5) Persevere no matter what you see. Set your mind on Jesus and refuse to be discouraged if things arent happening immediately. Remain faithful, and you will see results in due time. At the end, I asked how many people were present who needed healing. Only one woman raised her hand. I said, This is exciting news! The first day I came the were many! Several in the meeting were those who had been already healed. Then I told the people that they have witnessed enough this week to not need an official opportunity to minister healing. But I warned them, When I received training in First Aid, we were taught to point at someone and say, You! Call an ambulance! because if you just say to a crowd, Someone call an ambulance, no one will do it. Everyone will expect someone else to do it. But if we are going to be responsible followers of Jesus, then we will all take initiative. So I told them, If the meeting is over, and you dont see anyone with this woman, then its YOUR job! When the meeting ended, a couple people lunged for her! And while that was happening, the woman whose knee was healed yesterday came to the pastor and asked about how to be baptized. I am so excited to see what God will do through these people in the days ahead! Now its time for bed... I leave for the airport at 3:30am :-P
