Today was my last day of work and the first day of the rest of my life. After 14 years of working for the same organization, I decided to quit my job. A few people tried to persuade me against it (you will be leaving behind a pension, benefits, steady income, the list goes on.) Most didnt think I would or could do it, but today I heard the same phrase repeated over and over, I wish I had the courage to do what youre doing, followed by a list of reasons why they could never do it. All were legitimate fears. I also had, and continue to have, fears. Where will my next paycheck come from? What if I am too old for a career change? The list goes on. Im just like everybody else. The only difference is, I CHOOSE to let my faith be greater than my fears (God gave me that choice). You need faith to have courage, and courage to face your fears...but when you do, you will find FREEDOM, the kind that money cant buy.
