Today was one of the best days I can remember in quite some time. Not only did all our new lines come in (a store that does well, the longer we can continue to help as many animals as we can) but our Balto (now called Jack) and our Mistro are officially adopted in homes that love them. As much as I enjoy getting in new stock, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING makes me happier than picturing these guys in their new loving and cherished homes. As soon as I know that they are adopted, I immediately picture them the first time I saw them. The confusion, the fear, the hurt in their eyes. The unknowing they feel and show in their actions. I then remember the moment we managed to get that fear to go away. The first moment I could tell that they had again learned to trust. So many other memories of them then pass through my head, and the movie in my head with them ends with them sleeping comfortable and loved on a couch. Today, I saw Balto and Mistros movie. Baltos went back a few years and Mistro 8 months, but both, had happy endings. Good luck my boys!xxxx
