Today was painfully slow as far as adoptions, yet a rescue mission - TopicsExpress

Today was painfully slow as far as adoptions, yet a rescue mission had taken place in the front of our facility this afternoon. Our Animal Care Coordinator, Diana had heard a puppy cry coming from the ditch that is waist high with water. We searched and saw a speck of tan tangled in the mass of branches. Diana ran got her boots on to wade through to reach this dear dog in distress. I couldnt get to her on the other side, since the ground just drops off and the branches could of easily crushed her. So, unable to retrieve her safely, Donna rushed to contact Animal Control who is equipped with the proper tools for such an incident. They came immediately and was able to pull her to safety. A very special thank you to Aubrey and Bethany for their quick response! We have called this very sweet Chihuahua Foxy. I thought she was a baby fox when I first saw her through the brush. She was soaked, cold, terrified but unharmed! 💜 a happy ending to today!
