Today was such a beautiful day, it started out so nice, Dad and I went to his drs appt. all the way in Oak Park,Il. in the rain and fog, which I love this weather, also and on my favorite holiday, so a bonus! God was watching over us today (I thought) because w/all the constr. and accidents the expressways were so bad, but our route was free of all traffic is was so wierd..and plus i am always running late, but not today it all just worked out, dad got to his appt on time, we had other errands also, that went very well, stopped for lunch, just a great halloween with my dad and Kenny Garcia until I get home... i walked in the door, and right away my uncle ernies gf, ran into my room just as i was setting down my purse with a feeling of uneasiness coming over me..well she ran in and said Gayle, hurry I think ur uncle is dead! just like that! I ran downstairs and went into his room and i can see even from the door that he was for sure gone! I ran to him and tried cpr, but i knew it wouldnt help, he had been gone for almost 7hrs the emt said. After all was done, the crying,screaming,praying,yelling,the calls being made, i was sittting in my room thinking why did god give me such a great day just to come home to this? The corroner thinks it was natural causes, right away everyone thinks OD! even me, he was a recovering addict, but we wont know for a week maybe longer, but we lost my mom, Phyllis Graham, her 3 brothers Glen Ariel, Richard Ariel, and now Ernie Ariel all w/in a very short time, and ALL at such young ages, I thankfully have my aunt Rose Ariel and Uncle Johnny left! I realize how vulnerable we all are, and dont take anyone for granted, sorry this is so long, i dont post many statuses, but i felt like i needed to post this one! Hug your mom,dad,sister,brother,children,aunt,uncles,etc....You never know when it will be the last time you see them! R.I.P Ernest Roy Ariel 8/1/1969-10/31/2013 I will miss the aggravation, the talks we had, the pain in the ass u were, Im glad your w/mom and the rest of the family, and u didnt suffer, you died peacefully in your sleep...love u Gurn!
