Today was the best day Ive had in a while. Me and my sister April became sisters for real Dakota way through a HUNKA CEREMONY. Im so grateful to Eugene Hale for conducting the ceremony, Onna Little Ghost for helping with the female part, and my lil brother Kris White for singing the HUNKA song for us. Also to Wade Keeps Eagle for the eagle plumes. Also thank you to those who helped with the food and everything else it took to make it happen. And to all who attended. It meant a lot to us to have our friends and family witness this special ceremony. A big special thank you to our dad for all that he did to prepare. He even spent half a day in the tribal buffalo pasture getting buffalo hair for us!! How awesome is that!! And of course Aprils mom for making a beautifu starquilt. To top it all off, we had it at the place where we held our beloved mothers funeral and memorial. I felt her presence there with us today and I know she wouldve love my new sister April. ~~~~ After it was all said and done I got to enjoy the Ronnie Dunn (from Brooks & Dunn) at the Spirit Lake Casino courtesy of my good cousin Swadeau. What a great day people!!! :D
