Today was the best day for all of your unbelievable love and support. Today was the closest Ive ever been to walking out the door and never coming back. Im sick and tired of being so emotionally and even physically affected by stress from evaluations, testing, dog and pony shows, and doing so much for my students with no respect or appreciation from the government. All the wonderful things said and the fact that youre sharing my and other teachers stories are helping to keep me and other teachers like me going. I wanted to do this article to help people (mostly those in any sort of political power or community influence) to realize what so many teachers do everyday. Were putting everything into our practice and yet were still accused of having it easy. Please, tell a teacher you appreciate them and, perhaps more importantly, vote for our children and teachers this November.
