Today was the day that Bertie had to leave Allesley and go to his new garage home in Finham. A week under cover outside was doing him no favours, and left any longer would definitely have a detrimental effect. He had obviously had enough of being outside as the engine started immediately and I left him in the road until later to `air`. After today`s service was over I checked his replacement garage to see if there was enough room, and with judicious moving of things here and there - there was. Houses built in the 50s which have a garage incorporated were designed for cars built at that time - tall and thin! Although the garage door looked ominously small compared to what he was used to, I felt it wouldn`t be a problem getting him in there - and so it proved. He did the three mile journey in his usual faultless way, and fitted in like a glove. Sleep well Bertie, and see you in the new year.. with Judy :-)
