Today was the end of Summer School, held at the Mount Salem Primary and Junior High School. The programme was developed by Pauline Johnston-Burke who asked me to do some sessions with the children. For three weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I had classes before work, and today, during my lunch hour. Our topics were Respect, Dining etiquette, how to respond to teasing and respecting differences,dress codes and today I ended up doing a little embroidery instruction. The youngsters were very welcoming, and showed great efforts to put the lessons into practice...our theme songs were I am a promise and a lovely song written by one of the students. I was rewarded with many hugs, and the satisfaction of sharing with this great group of youngsters.
