Today was the first meeting, wrt the Technical Working Group, at the offices of the SABS. The purpose of these groups, is together with other stake holders in the Industry, to determine the minimum requirements for Towing Vehicles in South Africa, being specifications and standards. It will be known as SANS 1379. Today was more of an introductory meeting, where the SABS did a presentation to the group, which will be forwarded to all the participants, for comments. The group will again be meeting in about one months time, to discuss in deeper length, the way forward wrt this process, and determining the standards etc. UTASA will continuously keep you informed, and any documentation given will be made available to the membership.
