Today was the goat mani-pedi party. Everyone got their hooves trimmed. I was somewhat surpised by the differences in the amount of growth of the animals. The boys, Bertha, Monkey, Jasmine and Lynx all were really good and gave us little grief. Our Nubian boys, on the other hand, thought it was the end of the world. Tanith is still learning how to pin a goat, and these guys outweigh her a fair bit. In the process I got kicked in the head once, and stabbed in the pinky. So much for thinking the shears would be safer than the knife. Almost needed stitches, but a field dressing in the field and a good cleaning at home later and it looks ok. A bit swollen and sore, but a day or two will be much better.
