Today was to be a rather grand day for me on the railway. I was booked to work a train from Edinburgh to Leeds and another back later in the day!! However during this trip I happened to pass no less than 5 steam trains, three of which were working passenger trains on the mainline!! In 2014 that must almost be a record ;-) Sadly im not allowed a camera in the cab so no photos of the passings!! A4 Sir Nigel Gresley was leaving York and heading south just as I was on the adjacent line and looked fantastic as I accelerated passed her!! I was tempted to put the brakes on and ride alongside but............!!!!! ;-)
