Today was totally focused on the longarm…the final stretch for “How Does Your Garden Grow”. Got the last bit of quilting done on the inner borders; went whimsical with loops. I like the look-it’s a nice contrast and it fills up the space well. Puppy Porter and I were there all morning. She was so good today, stretched out under the longarm close to my feet; happy as could be. I’d talk to her every once in a while and she’d roll on her back for a little tummy rub. By mid-afternoon, the quilting was done and I was taking it off the frame and squaring it up. Then I spent an hour searching for the binding that I knew I had made long ago in anticipation of the day I would get it on the longarm. All I could remember was that it was a dark red fabric and I had pieced it all and ironed it and stuck it somewhere. Took me until 3:00 to finally locate it: shoved in a pattern drawer—why, I don’t know. So took the time to pin it and sew it onto the quilt before I ended my day, and now tomorrow my plan is to hand stitch down the binding and be done with this darling little quilt that was pieced over a year ago….
