Today we acknowledge Memorial Day 2014. It is on this day that we remember --- and we honor -- all men and women who gave the last, full measure of devotion to the United States of America -- all men and women who lost their lives fighting for ours. No elected official, no business leader, no innovator or entrepreneur, no brilliant physician or teacher, no gifted athlete, no other person in this country can claim to have done as much to secure the liberties and the freedoms we enjoy than the men and women we honor on this day and every Memorial Day. We remember -- we are a grateful nation -- and we pray today that peace and comfort comes to all families who have lost a loved one serving in the U.S. Armed Services.
