Today, we again, are thankful for You. Last year we were in a hotel somewhere upstate. We were thankful for a warm bed, a dog friendly hotel, and each other. We believe we were still in shell shock, and we still are some days. Kids came back from college and didnt understand as they had only seen pictures of what was once there home. Our thoughts were here with those we left behind to continue the gutting and remediation in the cold. We came back almost everyday to join you on a line at the Ice Arena. The world continued to spin. Thanksgiving seemed last year to be a knife cut into the many of the bruises that damn Storm bought. We connected with friends and family through social media as phone service was infrequent. As a community you rose, higher than any of these new homes will ever be. The world continued to spin. Today we will come together in an almost finished house, dog friendly, still in shell shock as we know too many of us have yet to return. We promise never to leave again. We will continue to fight for you and every penny as a community and as families we deserve. We pray (except our atheist) next year you have a place to lay your head. You are never alone. Ask.
