Today we also celebrate the birth anniversary of Oliver Norville Hardy. Always identified as partner and foil to Stan Laurel, Hardy made his mark on film early in the silent era. He plays heavys (literally as well as figuratively) but it was in comedies he made his mark. A beautiful marriage was born with the partnership with Laurel, two minds without a single thought that made magic on screen.
