Today we attended a meeting at Vasco in commemoration of 50th anniversary of martyrdom of two dock workers late Comrade Concesao Decosta and late Comrade Thomas Fernandes who were killed in police firing on 20th December 1964. These two heroes sacrificed their young life for the Dock workers struggle. We paid our rich tribute to these martyrs. Here I remembered the words of Mahan Ranade Its easy to be a freedom fighter and difficult to be a social reformer. Laal Salam to them. Though nobody remembers them but just few of us and that too in a secret room meeting with small rituals without any passion by conspicuous absence of workers was hurting and immensely painful. Swati Kerkar Thalmann Pradeep Pereira comrade Jenny too participated in commemoration of 50th anniversary of martyrdom.
