Today, we commemorate d souls of all d faithful departed. The feast of all souls highlights d Catholic belief in d life after death, in d fact that due to some imperfections, some believers will not make heaven immediately and will need some purgation b4 seeing God (2Mac:46; 1Cor.3:13-15) most importantly, d feast makes it clear that we d living owe d dead d debt of prayers and sacrifices which help in d purification. As John Chrysostom commended: let us help commemorate them. If Jobs sons were purified by their fathers sacrifice, why would we doubt that our offerings 4 d dead brings them some consolation? Let us not hesitate to help those who have died and to offer our prayers for them. This is what we are doing today. I pray 4 all our loved ones, my family, friends, ur family and friends, departed members of our various groups and those who have requested for prayers. May d Almighty God grant them all eternal rest. May d souls of all d faithful departed rest in perfect peace. ............
