Today we discussed Living in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16-23 We are fighting in a war that is raging from within. In this upcoming New Year we are focused on living in the spirit rather than relying on the traditions of the past that bring our attention to thinking we can do what we want, just because we are saved and just because we have the church behind us. We must know that we are the church and the building where we worship does not have the power to save us, it is only through Christ where we will find salvation. Our job is living in the spirit, accepting the gifting of Christ and when we receive that gift, he empowers us to become witnesses. Let us therefore walk in the spirit and infect those around us with the precious gift of the Holy Spirit! Are you ready to live in the spirit as an adversary for Christ? Christ has done his part by dying for us on the Cross, now let us do our part by Living for him in the Spirit! We must believe what the word says; When we live in the spirit, Christ crucifies the flesh and it no longer has the power to ensnare us. Live free, unshackled by the Savior, be liberated by Christ and live in the spirit! When we understand what Christ has done by liberating us, we are no longer slaves to sin, but we are set free! Set free, not do what we want as that will only lead us back to sin; but this freedom is to live in the spirit for Christ. That is true freedom! Peace!
