Today we dismantle our pool. I kind of like that it died its natural death of rust and decay without our decision to kill it off. It went out with a bang, not a whimper. It reminds me of all the very happy times that recall: washing towels at least once a day buying extra goggles testing the water for safety pig roasts when the pool was full of kids buying extra sunscreen so that guests wouldnt burn feeding guests and appreciating their food and drink contributions PIG ROASTS when we have shared the memory with lifetime friends Buying loads of glow sticks so that we could see kids in the dark (I told kids that we would look for sticks in the bottom of the pool so that we could rescue them) happy afternoons and evenings with friends creating a summer music mix Our pool had been quiet for the last few years. Max isnt a kid anymore. Floating around on rafts wasnt as fun all by myself. The pool had turned into a money pit once the 2nd heater had died and the 2nd liner began to look bad that the 2nd pump needed to be purchased. I am glad that it went out with a bang. It was time go.
