Today we got to see a very amazing piece of history. We were at Mt. Vernon, the home of George and Martha Washington. It is something to see where our first president lived, how he lived, and to see such history. I appreciate history much more now than I did in school. Thank you to Travis Holliday for suggesting the DC area for vacation. He did not get go in his 8th grade year and it was his request. Tomorrow, it is off to DC and the Capital Building for a tour. This is assuming I can get everyone up, out the door, on the metro and to the capital by 9:30am.
