Today we had 2 topics in Physics. The first topic was about quantum physics which I was not familiar with. I learned how classical physics work, and also how it failed. There were 3 laws that explained why the failures exist. In this section I learned some mathematical concepts too. Overall, I learned the fundamental postulates of quantum physics and their physical consequences. In the second part, we had our first practical. It was a rocket launch relying on water pressure. But before the practical, we had a lecture about fluid mechanics which is related to the practical, how pressure, temperature and volume works in a fluid. The rocket practical was really fun. All the physics students were divided into 5 groups and all of us tried to launch the rocket, measuring the ascending and descending time of the rocket as it flew and fell down from the sky. We also found out whose group had the highest flying rocket. I not only gained additional knowledge, but I also had so much fun! - Cresentia Suandi (BBS BDG JC2)
