Today we had a a 2 hour fruitful discussion with CABINET SECRETARY for Education Prof Jacob KAIMENYI when he paid us a courtesy call at the KNUT headquarters. We agreed on a wide range of issues, including:-) 1. Recruitment of ECD teachers 2. Promotion of teachers 3. Payment of the last phase of commuter allowances, 4. Medical scheme for teachers, 5. Recruitment of more teachers, 6. Scrapping of examination fees for KCPE AND KCSE candidates starting next year, amoung a host of issues which we shall issue an official statement soon.
