Today we had a great seminar on the Jasmine revolution and current Tunisia with Drs Mourad Mhenni, Faten Mbarek and Adel Belkahla from the Markaz Masarat in Tunis. Their talks were simultaneously translated by Khouloud Mansour and Qais Fares. Thanks also goes to them and the moderator Dalia Abdelhady. The developments in Tunisia are interesting and certainly worth following closely. The country faces an election in the end of October and the outcome will be important for the future development. I am also looking forward to establish more cooperation with institutions in Tunisia and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.
