Today we held our first Professional Development and Resiliency training of 2015 in Conmy Hall, Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall. Master Sgt. Cedric King, our keynote speaker and a warrior who was injured in Afghanistan while conducting a building-clearing mission, shared his experience with more than 500 JFHQ-NCR/MDW service members, staff and Inter-Agency partners. King spoke about life after losing his legs and how faith, family and focus are the key factors in his ability to conquer lifes challenges. Id like to thank Master Sgt. King for sharing with us an incredibly difficult time in his life. His strength during adversity embodies resiliency and Army values. I hope the audience members got out as much as I did--always remain Ready and Resilient.
