Today we honor our Vietnam Veterans. Im 51 years old...in my lifetime I have never served in the Military yet I grew up in it. It is amazing what my pop and other brave men went through at such a young age. Many of my friends have sons and daughters who are serving today. Today Im going to go golfing...Im going to have some big decisions today: blue plaid shorts, going for the par 5 in two shots....yes, this is sarcasm. Our service men and women face life and death decisions EVERYDAY when they serve in the theater of war. Why do they do it? So we can grow up, raise families, pursue our passions and enjoy life itself. I remember when they honored pop in Denver last year...and how fellow Vietnam Vets came up to my pop and THANKED him...they said it felt like THEY were finally appreciated. If you know a Vietnam Vet...thank him or her today. Thanks pop, your bravery and dedication to your fellow Americans WAS and IS very much appreciated.
