Today we made a difficult decision to help Sydney cross the rainbow bridge. When we rescued Sydney on May 31st, we had no idea how unhealthy she was. Shortly after we had several emergency vet visits to determine that she had 2 large growing tumors in her stomach that would soon be too much for her to handle (they gave her less than 6 months). Knowing her fate we ensured she got lots of love for as long as we were allowed to spend our lives with her. I miss this sweet girl so much and am so thankful of the journey she took us on, as well as the friends she helped me make though the adoption process. Thank you to everyone for their kind words through all the bad news and for always providing encouragement. (Especially from Sydneys co-mamas Nelly Mercado, Cathy Karr and Sue Heron) thank you Jayel Gregory for sharing her pic, as I would have never seen her if you didnt. I will forever continue to adopt Sr. Dogs regardless of the fear that they will come and go too soon. We know the impact we made on Sydneys life even in these last 3 months... It sure does feel like weve had her for years. RIP Sydney Bidney Syd the Kid
