Today we pray that the Key of David and Sceptre of Israel, who opens and no-one shuts, may come and free all imprisoned in darkness and the shadow of death; for all who are struggling with difficulties of any kind; those who are anxious or depressed; those sleeping rough, or cold or hungry; those who are filled with rage; and we give thanks for those who bring a smile to our faces and light and joy to our lives; for all the beauty that the world contains; and for the gift of the Saviour whom we await.
