Today, we remember our fellow Americans who lost their lives to that storm, and we comfort the families who grieve them still. —President Obama on the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy hitting the east coast of the U.S., this is how our President chose to remember the loss of life and property due to the storm... Several Republican members of congress who voted against and delayed funding to help the people of the area rebuild spent the eve. and day of fundraising in New York. The fact that anyone in that state would even be willing to entertain someone like Mitch McConnell on that day, especially when they show up with their hands out astounds me.
