Today we remember the ones who passed on. I remember last year we had a big meal, but it seemed we were just going through the motions of being happy and thankful, as we just lost my nephew Cole and my niece Cristina. This year seems different, as we excepted the fact that our loved ones are safe in the hands of the creator in a very beautiful place. I pray for all of you who lost loved ones this year, so that you too may find the same comfort. The only true things to be thankful for are the food in your stomach, the shelter over your head, the clothes on your back, the love given and shared by family and friends, and lastly the simple fact that you woke up this morning. Ho hecha tu welo, mitakuye Owasin.
