Today we should find out the results of the bone marrow biopsy, - TopicsExpress

Today we should find out the results of the bone marrow biopsy, which will give us an exact idea of how her bone marrow is functioning. Zoey is in really good spirits, laughing and giggling, acting like her normal self. Shes slowly getting used to taking meds around the clock, hopefully she masters swallowing pills without gagging soon. I cant help but laugh at the faces she makes, lol. Shes joking with the nurses and all smiles most of he time. Looking back on the last few days, we feel the worst part is over. Of course we have a long road of treatments, but her strength depends on our strength. When we were informed of her diagnosis, we were completely crushed, heartbroken, devastated, and just a puddle on the floor. But then, we found out her leukemia type is highly treatable, and then the spinal tap came back negative for leukemia cells, which means there is no leukemia in her brain, so she wont require radiation. It also means she stays a standard risk. Prayers are working, and although the initial diagnosis was awful, we have had nothing but good news since then. She is in a very beneficial position, being between the ages 1-10, being female, and not being overweight, giving her the best chances to beat this. We are so optimistic about this, and its really helping her keep smiling. She has been feverless (finally) for two days now, without Tylenol, but has been on IV antibiotics. Its still up in the air about when she will go home, but anyone who knows me and my husband, knows what a good team we are, and we are doing our best to switch between home and the hospital to spend time with zoey and our other two children (Jax 4 and Olive 2). Again I want to thank everyone for the prayers, THEY ARE WORKING! I truly believe all the positivity and healing being sent our way has improved our situation so much. Many have asked how Kris and I are doing, and I think we are doing just fine, at least as fine as we can be. We are preparing mentally for what is in store for the future, and I can honestly say, its looking really good. We have help from family and friends, financially and emotionally, we know everything is going to be all right. The donations we have received are being put into savings and will stay there until theyre needed for medical costs and what not. Since we are looking at a long road ahead of us, I cant begin to tell you what a relief it will be to have back up for hard times. Im seriously speechless, I can even comprehend the love we feel in our hearts. I will update Zoeys condition as we know more, she is a fighter and is feeling better every day. I know we will have ups and downs, but she is fighter just like her mom and dad :) Thank you to everyone for the prayers and please keep sending them our way. They are working!
