Today we should remember the birthday of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. He is one of Americas greatest heroes in leading our society to justice, fairness, love, and cooperation. I grew up as a white or European-American in the time of racial segregation (Maryland and DC). Many of my relatives used derogatory terms for African-Americans. I remember arguing with my uncle and several cousins against that. Dr. King inspired me. I even had to fight derogatory racism in Medical School. Dr. King made me a much better doctor (Neurologist, MD)
