Today we took KY3 News out to visit Millsap Farm just a few minutes north of Springfield to learn about CSA (community supported agriculture) options for families. A family or couple can buy a share of the farm harvest and in return receive a basket of whatever is available from the farm or other area farmers each week. KY3 will be running the story tomorrow night on the 6pm show and will feature farmer Curtis Millsap and CSA consumers. Here are photos we snapped today during the interview and while CSA customers were picking-up their weekly share. We also caught some super sweet images of a few of the Millsap family kiddos- cuties, arent they! Urban Roots Farm and Real Farm Foods also offer similar on-farm programs. Be sure and talk with these FMO vendors at market about options. More ways you can buy local from your local farmers!
