Today we waked my Aunt Olga. We were not a large group of people, but we were a lively group. At one point, we just stood in a circle and just shared stories. We visited with family we had not seen, some we didnt know and others we talked to yesterday. I had not seen my brother for several years. It felt so good to hug him. I walked away with a sense of family that I have not felt for a very long time. We talked too loud, we laughed too loud, we exchanged phone numbers and took pictures. Nothing like a good old fashioned Irish Wake for a died in the wool Lithuanian. I think she would have liked it. Rest in peace Auntie O, you were one of a kind.
