Today we want to wish Tadesse Essa Yasin a very happy birthday. The way this beautiful, crazy, smart, driven and very brave boy was knit into our hearts and later our family is such an amazing story. Every day we are grateful for the joy he has brought our family yet forever mindful of the difficult stories that lead to our union. God can use brokenness and strife to make us into the best examples of who He wants His people to become. This has been true in me, in our family and also in Tadesse. Brokeness does not disqualify or count a person out. Broekenness placed in the hand of God instead reforms, redeems and restores. We are so proud of the leader God is shaping Tadesse to be. Happy Birthday to a boy who has taught us all so much. We love you.
