Today, we would like to celebrate Jennifer McCallson ’97 who will be hand cycling a 1/2 marathon to help raise money for people with spinal cord injuries tomorrow. Jennifer knows all too well what it’s like to live with a spinal cord injury as she became instantly paralyzed in a competitive cheerleading performance in 1999 when she was only 20 years old. However, being the athletic and positive person she is, Jennifer was determined to not let the accident change her. Today, Jennifer participates in more sports than most people and has even astonished doctors by peddling a spin bike independently.
