Today wed like to wish a very special birthday to none other than yours truly, Harry Warren. The patriarch of the Warren clan was born on this day in 1893 in Brooklyn, New York. Harrys monumental career spanned five decades, from the 20s through the 70s. His compositions have been featured in Academy Award-winning films (three of which were awarded to him), Emmy-winning television programs, broadway shows, and have been interpreted by the best performers and musicians to grace this planet, from Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Billie Holiday to Annie Lennox, Zooey Deschanel, and Beyoncé. Harrys influence is profound and felt to this very day with Four Jays Music continuing the tradition of spreading his melodies for all to hear. Happy birthday Harry and a Merry Christmas Eve!
