Today, when I arrived home from work, I was scrolling through my FB news feed and noticed a picture of the guy from one of my new favorite TV shows Power, posted on the chat group, called, BLACK LOVE AND CONVERSATION. The picture. was of him, his wife, and his child. To me, it was a beautiful picture of his family; however, while looking through the comments, I noticed there were very negative and racist comments about him, because his wife was a White Woman. I usually dont get involved with negativity. I just shake my head and pray for people with small minds. So I joined the conversation and stated, Love is love! We all have a choice on who we want to love. Needless to say, they kicked me out of the group. Im not bitter, but its worth talking about. I dont tolerate racism and closed minds from noone. Its each persons choice to do and feel as they want, but I will always let it be known that I dont agree with racism. I did not choose my wife because of race obligations, I allowed GOD to choose my wife. If loving ALL PEOPLE, no matter the race or gender is Wrong, then I dont want to be Right. In my opinion, black love doesnt constitute hatred towards other races. I choose to love, and if that offends anyone or closed group then feel free to unfriend me like that group did!
