Today when its bitterly cold and school is canceled - all I want to do is stay in bed and work from home. However, I am getting dressed to take the Boy to Robotics. And just when I was getting ready to murmur about how cold it is, the Spirit reminded me of a status that Gena Johnson posted about her daughters upcoming graduations and what sacrifices we as parents have to make so our children can be successful. So instead of complaining, I thank you God my son has a mind for things that are productive and not destructive. I could be going out in the cold to visit him in rehab or bailing him out jail, or even worse yet a mortuary. It seems like every morning another story is told of teenagers killing or being killed by each other. Shootings in schools and malls are becoming a regular occurrence, lives are lost and destroyed senselessly. On a cold day like this - Im grateful my child is still here, healthy and wanting to go to school to do something thats for his betterment, even on a day he could stay home and report in virtually. I wont complain God, even in negative degree windchill. #MotherOfAFutureEngineer
