Today, while fitting my beautiful bride, April Perry, I told her my daughters name was April, too.....April Leilani. She was ecstatic because her fiances daughter name was Leilani! April told me that her fiance spent a lot of time in the Marshall Islands and Hawaii. I queried, Kwajelein? and told her that was where my brother had spent a lot of time when he worked for Global Associates. At that point, her future mother in law jumped into the conversation. Turns out she and her husband KNOW my brother, Abe, who worked in Kwaj in the 70s!!!!!! This world gets smaller and smaller. My heavy heart turned light. This was such a hard day and at the end it God knew I needed a hug from my brother who has been gone for so long. Everyone, at the end of any day whats important is ohana (family). I am so happy to have met a new friend who thought so highly of my dear departed brother. I cant help feeling that we are all connected and cant help wondering why we lose sight of that and what truly makes us happy. The connecting thread that binds us all is Gods love and I am so grateful for the hugs I got today from two new friends, April Perry and her future mother in law!
